Parfums de Marly has become one of the most recognizable names in modern perfumery. You have almost certainly smelled Layton on someone. What most people have not smelled is the rest of the house — a line that runs from bright grapefruit to spiced vanilla to animalic oud, with each bottle priced past what most will spend on something they have not worn.

This set puts five of them in front of you.

Each is our own hand-blended impression, made at extrait de parfum strength. Five vials, 2 mL each, enough to wear each one properly across several days rather than judging it from a paper strip.

Amande Céleste — impression of Pegasus. Bitter almond and heliotrope over lavender, vanilla, and sandalwood. The fragrance that made the house.

Kuwohi — impression of Layton Exclusif. Bergamot and almond over rose, oud, and guaiac wood. Layton after dark, with coffee and animalic depth.

Spruce Knob — impression of Althaïr. Orange blossom and cinnamon over bourbon vanilla, praline, and guaiac wood.

Cheval Blanc — impression of Galloway. Citrus and pepper over iris, orange blossom, and sandalwood.

Banner Elk — impression of Perseus. Grapefruit and blackcurrant over vetiver, geranium, and cashmere wood.
