Boone Lake

Blood orange, bergamot and lemon open it bright, with basil, lavender and a little spearmint keeping it green. Neroli and orange blossom are fuller here than in the regular Neroli Portofino, and the base adds suede, leather and oakmoss under the amber. Same Riviera, later in the evening.

Boone Lake is the TVA reservoir behind Boone Dam, fed by the South Fork Holston and Watauga rivers; the dam was finished in 1952. Tom Ford made Forte as a bolder take on Neroli Portofino, with a richer floral heart and leather underneath.
