Buck Fama ∙ Inspired by Nasomatto Baraonda ∙ Extrait de Parfum
Buck Fama is a special-edition Maison Appalachia release created for Tennessee’s October 17 meeting with Alabama in Knoxville. Few games carry more history, and this one requires no explanation. The expectation is equally clear: when the final whistle blows in Neyland Stadium, Alabama heads back south with another loss and we sing Dixieland Delight (a song clearly written about Tennessee).
Whiskey leads the composition with remarkable depth, surrounded by warm woods and the soft floral character of rose. Ambrette and musk add a smooth, slightly sensual texture, while ambroxan gives the fragrance a dry, modern warmth beneath its unmistakably boozy character. Buck Fama is rich and distinctive—whiskey-soaked woods softened by rose and musk, with enough refinement to keep its considerable strength composed.
We chose Buck Fama because Baraonda does something unusual exceptionally well. Its whiskey accord is bold and immediately recognizable, but the fragrance is far more than a novelty. Woods provide structure, rose brings an unexpected elegance, and musk and ambrette soften the composition as it develops. Powerful, unconventional, and built for cooler weather, it is exactly the kind of fragrance this rivalry deserves.
