Fontana — Tom Ford Costa Azzurra Impression

Driftwood and seaweed open it salty and sun-bleached, with cardamom and celery seed adding a dry, savory edge. Lemon, cypress, lavender, and myrtle bring in the Mediterranean herbs, and oak, vetiver, and incense settle it into a dry woody base with a touch of vanilla. It smells more like a boat deck than a beach towel.

Fontana Dam, finished in 1944 to power aluminum production during World War II, is the tallest dam in the eastern United States at 480 feet. The Appalachian Trail crosses right over the top of it.
