Castlewood — Penhaligon's Halfeti Leather Impression

Bergamot and plum open it bright and dark at once — juicy fruit with a citrus edge. It turns quickly to leather and oud, rough and smoky, with incense hanging over the whole drydown. It's a leather scent first and a fruit scent second.

Castlewood, on the Clinch River in western Russell County, Virginia, was first called Castle's Woods after frontiersman Jacob Castle; the Postal Service shortened the name in the late 1800s. Christian Provenzano created Halfeti Leather for Penhaligon's in 2020.
