Cairo — Penhaligon's Cairo Impression

Saffron opens it dry and a little leathery. Damask rose comes in deep and velvety rather than dewy, with a curl of incense smoke around it, and patchouli and vanilla settle it into a dark, earthy-sweet finish. It's a rose for cold weather and evenings out.

Christophe Raynaud of Firmenich created Cairo for Penhaligon's Trade Routes Collection in 2018. Our Cairo is a small town in Ritchie County, West Virginia, named for the Egyptian city by its early settlers; the North Bend Rail Trail runs right through it.
