Orange opens it, bright and a little bitter, then the tobacco arrives sweet and dark rather than dry. Cocoa and dark chocolate fill the middle, more roasted than sugary. Peru balsam, patchouli, and Ambrofix carry it into a warm, resinous base with a honeyed edge that hangs on.

Burley tobacco remade East Tennessee farming. It started with two farmers planting white burley in Greeneville, and for decades Greeneville ran the leading burley market in the Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia region. Tobacco Chocolat, Tom Ford's 2026 Private Blend, is the most interesting tobacco the house has put out in years, and the cocoa is the reason. If Toccoa is the tobacco everyone already knows, this is the one with the rough edges left on.
