Galax — Matière Première Crystal Saffron Impression

A clean, bright musk hits first, and the saffron comes right behind it — sharp and almost metallic rather than warm, like light off cut glass. Ambroxan and a thread of incense carry it into a dry, mineral drydown that clings to skin and fabric. One spray is plenty.

Galax takes its name from the galax plant, an evergreen groundcover of the Blue Ridge, and has hosted the Old Fiddlers' Convention every year since 1935 except one during World War II. Aurélien Guichard built Crystal Saffron around saffron from Kozani in northern Greece.
