Dahlonega — Maison Francis Kurkdjian Grand Soir Impression

Labdanum opens it dark and resinous, with lavender running through it so it never gets heavy. Benzoin brings a soft, balsamic sweetness to the heart, and amber and vanilla take it home, warm and golden and smooth. It's an amber fragrance with nothing extra on it.

Dahlonega, once called Licklog, took its name in 1833 from the Cherokee word talonega, meaning golden or yellow, and the federal Branch Mint at Dahlonega went into operation in 1838. Francis Kurkdjian released Grand Soir in 2016.
