Old Rag — Parfums de Marly Percival Impression

Bergamot and mandarin open with a clean, energetic citrus freshness, sharpened by pink peppercorn. Lavender gives the heart its familiar aromatic structure, while iris and cardamom add a smoother, slightly powdery spice. Fir balsam, tonka bean, ambrox, and white musks form a clean, persistent base. Old Rag is fresh, masculine, and polished, with the crisp grooming character of a modern barbershop fragrance.

We chose Old Rag because Percival takes a familiar fresh-aromatic style and executes it exceptionally well. Lavender and citrus provide the classic foundation, while ambrox and white musk give it a distinctly modern finish. It is easy to wear without being anonymous—clean enough for daytime and work, but substantial enough to remain present well into the evening.
