Cedar Bluff — Penhaligon's Halfeti Cedar Impression

Rum, saffron and peach open it boozy and bright, with cardamom adding a cool spice. The heart is where the cedar arrives — dry Virginia cedar with cinnamon, dried fruit, immortelle and a flinty mineral edge. Atlas cedar, tonka, vanilla, labdanum and patchouli make the base warm, resinous and long.

Cedar Bluff is a 19th-century mill town on the Clinch River in Tazewell County, Virginia, once home to the Clinch Valley Blanket Mill. Christian Provenzano created Halfeti Cedar for Penhaligon's in 2020.
