Cardamom opens it with a quick, warm spice, then the leather arrives — soft and dark, with jasmine sambac and violet adding a faint floral edge underneath. Amber, moss, and patchouli carry the drydown, earthy and a little sweet. Think broken-in leather jacket, not new saddle.

Sonia Constant composed Ombré Leather for Tom Ford in 2018. Big Stone Gap is the setting of John Fox Jr.'s 1908 novel The Trail of the Lonesome Pine, which has been staged as an outdoor drama in town every summer since 1964.
