Sheltowee Trace — Creed Wild Vetiver Impression

Timur berry, bergamot, and pink pepper open bright and prickly, with a grapefruit-like sparkle that sets the fragrance in motion. Rose centifolia, geranium, and blackcurrant bud give the heart a green, dewy floral character before vetiver, cedarwood, and amberwood settle into a dry, earthy finish. Sheltowee Trace is fresh and verdant with real woody structure underneath — a garden vetiver rather than a smoky one.

We chose Sheltowee Trace because Wild Vetiver approaches the note from an unexpected angle: rather than leading with dark, smoky earth, it wraps the vetiver in green rose and geranium and lets the cedar and amberwood do the grounding. At extrait strength the rose gains depth, the peppery opening holds longer, and the dry woods in the base carry further into the wear. It is refined and easy to wear without being anonymous.
